Hi all
I'm installing discover
(http://componentizedlinux.org/discover/) as a package
user (ie. Not as root) on my BLFS installation.
The installation stops where it try to run the ranlib
with following message:
ranlib /usr/lib/libdiscover.a
ranlib: unable to copy file '/usr/lib/libdiscover.a'
reason: Permission denied
I can later run 'ranlib /usr/lib/libdiscover.a'
manually as root after the installation is over.
I have checked all of it's Makefiles, I don't see the
word 'ranlib'.
I appreciate very much if somebody could help me to
identify where discover runs ranlib in it's
installation process, so that I can disable it?
