I'm going to have to suffer through this myself shortly. This looks like
the first query you have made - it should be nearly the last.
Get your usb ports up, with all the relevant parts read the hints
Just gerpping my own copy of the hints tarball, I get
/home/genius/hints/apcupsd-usb.txt: mkdir -p /dev/usb/hid
/home/genius/hints/apcupsd-usb.txt: mknod /dev/usb/hid/hiddev0 c 180 96
/home/genius/hints/apcupsd-usb.txt: mknod /dev/usb/hid/hiddev1 c 180 97
I knew they hid them! Hits also from
/home/genius/hints/hardware-detection.txt (Out of date now, IIRC)
and one from the print hint pfs.txt.
Try the same in the blfs-book. Find out what to do, do it, and when it
fails, then yell here.
