Hi,
there is not much to concider
1. every other compiler has to have (or should have) an own prefix
2. you should try to bootstrap every compiler
3. all other rules : build (if posible) like your system compiler ...
I have 3 gcc versions on my NTPL-ACL system
SYSTEM 3.4.4 --prefix=/usr
2.95.3 --prefix=/usr/gcc-2.95.3
3.3.6 --prefix=/usr/gcc-3.3.6
