Hmm, just an update. I keep looking into sysstat - what I find a little 
strange is that google searches return mostly just download links and 
program descriptions, not actual user comments or advice. Does any of 
you have experience with sadf and XML? What came to my mind a few 
minutes ago is... an RSS feed generated eg. every 6h: IP (dynamic btw), 
CPU load, ACPI state, net load, etc. What do you reckon? Doable?
