First, has this sound card worked before in previous LFS with udev?
This box run on Mandrake 10.1 for the past year, ie. udev-030.
lets remove the 15-alsa.rules file and make certain that is

If that doesn't correct the problem, can you manually create

I'm going to try that in a few minutes, just after I start OOo
compilation and will get back with the results soon. Thanks a lot for
