Douglas I'm not sure where you are with your freenx battles but I finally
managed to get it working today. I've was away on work trip and then a
personal vacation so it took me awhile until I had some time to work on it
again.

If you or anyone else is interested in how to setup freenx I'd be happy to
post the source and scripts to ftp site for you. The installation method
I've come up with probably isn't the prettiest but it works well. The
.tar.bz2 file is approximately 37mb.

If anyone wants to pick this up from here and make a hint or add it to BLFS
that would be great. My documentation writing has always been very poor.

I was just about to embark on this journey myself. Please keep me
informed of
your progress.
