I don't know about the details of the MIME type files (I'm kind of afraid to
mess with them), but I do know that Nautilus can easily be told which
application to use for particular file types. Find an OGG file, and choose
"File," "Properties," then "Open With." There should be a list of possible
applications, with the choice to add a new one not on the list. If you change
the selected application, it becomes the default for that file type. Of
course, this only affects the current user's profile.
