Hello all,
i'm running an lfs 6.1 system on a 2.6.13 kernel. My
problem is that my mouse doesnt get recognized
consistently. I have a Logitech MX1000 mouse
connected to my ps2 port. Sometimes on bootup, the
mouse will be recognized and added as event1 in
/dev/input. [I use event interfacing for my mouse
because i wanted to get horizontal scrolling to work..
but havent so far.. =(, so if you know how to get that
working...] Anyway, when it doesnt get recognized
(doesnt show in: cat /proc/bus/input/devices", i just
unplug it and plug it back in and it pops up on my
console. then everything works fine. However, it is
a pain to keep unplugging it when it doesnt get
loaded. My event interfacing is loaded into the
kernel, not as a module, but i have tried it as both
and still no consistency. I am guessing this is
because of hotplug since, when i plug it back in, it
gets loaded. however, shouldnt udev already load this
device on bootup? thanks
amos
