What do you mean with -lgdk-x11-2.0 is not in the linker flags? They should

I've read the messages about this in dev, and is gdk-2.0 indirectly
dependend op gdk-1.2 or something alike? That's the reason why it's not
needed with 0.20?
Sorry, I was rambling about the pkgconfig (or pkg-config) version. In
pkgconfig-0.17 they changed the behavior. In this case, configure looks
only for the needed linker flags for gobject-2.0 and ORBit-2.0 (using
pkgconfig). ORBit-2.0 depends on gdk-2.0 (part of gtk-2.0). pkgconfig
returns -lorbit and -lgobject, and that's all. They changed the
behaviour back to previous handling of dependacies in pkg-config-0.19 or
0.20 so that it now (correctly IMO) returns all the flags needed by
ORBit-2.0 and gobject-2.0 (-lgtk-xll-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -lorbit-2.0
-lgobject-2.0 (and some others I'm not sure of ATM)....). The patch
simply adds the pkgconfig checks for the dependacies too so all the
correct flags are dragged in.
You're right. I have pkg-config 0.17.2. I have the patch for this, but simply
forgot to apply it.
(I've two directories with patches)
Thanks a lot, it's building again and vcl is passed already!!!
Great! Let us know how it works out. :-)
