There was no response. What bad advice does the hint give. Could you please be more specific.

2. It says to make scripts to set up the build environment and remount file systems should you need to reboot. This in itself is not a bad thing, but judging from what I've seen in the support chat room a lot of people somehow mess it up.

Oh. Thanks, Chris. Yeah, the "no LFS user" thing bothered me as just something else to keep track of. But on my first LFS build I got tired of all the typing when I turned of the computer to attend to mundane things like my wife and my job. I wrote a couple of scripts to use at reboot time.

I'm going to use the livecd to put LFS on my laptop since there is not enough room for Windoze, Mandrake and LFS.
