Hi,

This question could be far away from BLFS but I have no more clue how to get "libcdaudio" working and
it seems to be a LFS/BLFS problem.

I have installed mythtv/mythmusic from CVS source, but when I tried to import a CD with CDDB lookup it doest working (mythmusic hangs or no info on tracks from CDDB) . On my old system (SuSE 9.1) this procedure is working.

To track this problem I have installed a perl module Audio::CD and test this with a small script.
The script dies with a segmentation fault when using "$cddb->lookup;"
Then I have installed "cdcd".

The problem when system hangs is now clear: Sometimes a dead server is selected.

But "cdcd" is also not working. It connects to a CDDB and makes a request but then it comes with
   "CDDB query error: cannot parse"

I compiled libcdaudio from source (three different versions). All have the same problem.

It seems to be a LFS/BLFS problem or the CDDB protocoll was changed some days ago. BUt I cannot find anything on that.

Some hints for me ?

BR
