Hi, I'm very worry because indeed, the kernel doesn't detect my disk. I loaded following modules: md5 4160 1 ipv6 272448 8 uhci_hcd 32720 0 ohci_hcd 22600 0 ehci_hcd 34248 0 snd_via82xx 28320 0 snd_ac97_codec 78200 1 snd_via82xx snd_mpu401_uart 8256 1 snd_via82xx snd_rawmidi 26528 1 snd_mpu401_uart snd_seq_device 8652 1 snd_rawmidi 8139too 25344 0 mii 5120 1 8139too crc32 4288 1 8139too sr_mod 17508 0 sg 36768 0 sd_mod 16720 0 usb_storage 35136 0 usbcore 122168 4 uhci_hcd,ohci_hcd,ehci_hcd,usb_storage scsi_mod 95880 4 sr_mod,sg,sd_mod,usb_storage lp 10436 0 parport_pc 26180 1 parport 25856 2 lp,parport_pc snd_pcm_oss 55968 0 snd_pcm_oss 55968 0 snd_pcm 98056 3 snd_via82xx,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss snd_timer 27204 1 snd_pcm snd_page_alloc 9924 2 snd_via82xx,snd_pcm snd_mixer_oss 20800 1 snd_pcm_oss snd 58468 9 snd_via82xx,snd_ac97_codec,snd_mpu401_uart,snd_r awmidi,snd_seq_device,snd_pcm_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer,snd_mixer_oss soundcore 10336 1 snd rtc 13432 0 apm 21484 0
I added new things in my kernel configuration: Freecom USB/atapi bridge, since my hd is a Freecom model. Now I wonder if I should add SCSI tape support or if it's not important. Or should I try to build a more recent release of the kernel? If you think that, is it hard with LFS-6.1 or will building be easy, without risks? Thanks for your help. Happy new year everybody!
