I also downloaded this, and I compiled the file. After all that, I got a significant changed behaviour: a lot of messages of the kind "Jan 13 portable udevd-event[8701]: run_program: exec of program '/sbin/udev_run_devd' failed. What could this mean ? On the other side, I dont get more messages of an ipw-2.4-boot.fw load failed. I just got: "ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection" followed by an "Adding 995988k swap etc". So, I feel, I am on the way, but at the moment I see a lot of trees but not the forest. OK ? Could you give me a "kick" ? Edgar -- --------------------- Dr.-Ing.
