I remember something about libedit being a bad thing for current BLFS. Seems like I remember it overwrote something or some other bad thing. This would make sense too. Your issues seem to be coming from something associated with Readline, and libedit is effectively a replacement for Readline. Was there any particular reason you installed libedit?
