You could probably just rebuild readline and overwrite it.  Then you
could see what files are still hanging around from libedit and delete
those.  You may want to rebuild bc, too, since it will be accessing a
different libhistory.so, etc.  Also, think about other packages you've
built since you added libedit.  Anything that picked up libhistory.so,
etc. may need rebuilding.
