Hi.
I'm compiling kde 3.5.1, following the instruction in the book for 3.4.1.
Well, kdm runs, but when the user tries to login into kde, the process fails
in the 2nd step (starting services of the system). I see a window behind the
bootsplash screen, but I can't read it, because I can't move it. After some
seconds, I'm back at kdm. I haven't found any logs where I can see what
happens, so I'm a bit lost. If I run twm and a konsole, I can run konqueror,
kicker, kcontrol, and the few apps that I already have. arts is disabled,
because I don't have alsa configured yet. I guess I'll have to recompile qt
and kdelibs with alsa later.
And another thing: what's the best way to run kdm at boot time?
