I seem to have a problem with gpm listening to my ps2 mouse.
I can correctly use a serial mouse so gpm is working fine. I am using udev
of course and can confirm that a kernel is registering the ps2 mouse
through a rule.
I have created two kernels and have found that gpm and the ps2 mouse are
working fine with one of them.
Look for:
CONFIG_MOUSE_PS2
CONFIG_INPUT_MOUSEDEV
CONFIG_INPUT_MOUSE
Try: modprobe mousedev. Configure GPM to use /dev/input/mice instead of the
(obsolete) /dev/psaux.
Thanks, it works like a charm. This is very comfortable.
