Yes it could. I'm not a FB buff, but I'd say you should test links
against vesa to see if the problem is related to radeon FB.

Yup thats the problem vesa doesn't crash the system with links at all.
luckly its not that big of a deal because if im using links im after only
the important info any how and really have no need for the graphical look.
I would try to fix this my self but im now way qualified to do so. lol
