Hi. I have a 6.0 dev LFS, with 6.0 BLFS on top. I've been enjoying it
for a couple of years now, but I had some dri problems, namely some
system freezes using too much 3d. So I had to forget about using my
RADEON graphic card to its full power (actually, I had this same problem
with XFree, and on Debian ; I started to think it had something to do
with my hardware).
Recently, I decided to upgrade, from xorg 6.8 to 6.9, to see if it could
solve the problem. Well, it did ! Great. I can now enjoy 3d games, 3d
software...
But I have a problem, quite annoying for my everyday use : fonts ! After
the upgrade, I lost about all the font configurations I had done for my
usual programs : Sylpheed Claws, Pan, Amarok, well, about every app, from
Gtk+ to Gnome and KDE apps...
I had to upgrade fontconfig, maybe this is the problem. But I don't know
how to solve it. Can you help ?
More generally seaking, I ALLWAYS have problems with fonts :-( I hope I
understand this before the end of my first life !
