Many thanks, I'm subscribed to the gnome-access list but haven't been reading the posts, too busy building software <smile>. I've not had much to do with fonts but I have to sort out why xorg can't see the installed fonts to stop it falling over then I'm all set to install the access stuff. So hopefully soon!
