Festival is very un-BLFS-like, isn't it?  I've been preparing to
home-roll a phone autoattendant with vgetty.  IIRC, I created a new
/opt/voice directory, changed to it, and un*tar*red *festival* there,
built it there, and left it there.

Then you need a symbolic link for /opt/voice/festival/bin/festival in
/usr/bin and perhaps one for text2wav, as well.
