It hasn't been my habit to deviate from the specified (LFS/BLFS) releases and I don't know if I _solved_ the problem, but I fetched the latest versions of pango and GTK+ in the 1.8.x and 2.6.x series respectively working under the common assumption that these should really be bug fixes and not cause problems with builds further on in the BLFS manual. (whew, long sentence). Anyhooooo, after trying pango 1.8.2 with gtk+ 2.6.7, the gtk+ configure script echoed the same error cited above, but when I tried gtk+ 2.6.10, I was able to configure, make and 'make check' gtk+ succesfully. Still, I would like to know what I goofed up using the canonical BLFS. - Jamie __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
