my Linux client, but can't see the menu you are talking about.
"Install VMware Tools" is an option in the VM menu, on VMware
Workstation at least. You're probably using the free VMware player?
Perhaps you can download a trial version of VMware Workstation and
create a Windows VM with that, or install the tools into your existing
windows vm. But, I have no idea whether the trial version will allow that.
