Hi, perhaps can help the comments I have in
.kde/share/config/gtkrc:

# If you do not want KDE to override your GTK settings, select
# Appearance & Themes -> Colors in the Control Center and disable the checkbox
# "Apply colors to non-KDE applications"

(I have exactly the same in .kde/share/config/gtkrc-2.0,
this seems to be the file to use for gtk2 based application.)
Another way you can try is write a script, give him exec permissions
and put it in .kde/Autostart, the script will be executed at every
kde startup.
