 Why?  Following the development version of blfs is not a
panacea (every point release of firefox potentially gives new
problems on non-x86), but firefox-1.0 is antiquated.  You will have
far fewer problems if you use the development book for blfs.

 My pure64 build is nearly three months old, using firefox-1.5.0.2,
and at that time I wasn't using separate nss/nspr, but the only thing
I needed to add to the build was
echo "ac_cv_visibility_pragma=no" >>.mozconfig
