Hello,
Well as I posted earlier I decided to try and compile the entire
SeaMonkey suite from a common source tree. This required updating about
a half dozen packages for me. As it turned out it was well worth the
effort. The only change I made to what was in the svn-20060809 book
which was to add the ac_cv_visibility_pragma=no line to the .mozconfig
file. The make ran to completion without complaint. I added the
extensions with no problem. I'm going to continue to the end of the page
tomorrow by adding the JDK etc. I want to thank all of you for helping
me through this. I really appreciate all the good information I got in
the replies to my continual cries for help. I have to admit it was
painful when I was trying to compile the pieces separately. I haven't
tried to port my mail to it yet but the browser works well and I should
be well on my way now. My wife will be happy. Now I can move to my new
system and continue to build the tools I'll need and rebuild my current
workstation for her. I have had entirely too much fun for one day. I
need to go to bed. :-) Thanks again for all your help!
Arnie
