Hi Dan,
        Yes I saw the post from Theo Schneider and picked up cups-1.2.2.  The
compile went without a problem. I have always had trouble configuring
cups and on my main network server (LFS 6.0) I opted to go with LPD just
because I couldn't get the CUPS to work. Once I got the compile to run I
went to the link that was on the BLFS page for configuring it. I have
been on this page before (LFS) and couldn't get it working but for some
reason everything fell into place and it's working great. I can print
text files and HTML. My printer is a Samsung ML1210 which seems to take
some other format than PS, JPL maybe, I don't remember. At any rate I do
now have a working CUPS on pure 64 [CB]LFS.
