Hi Guys,
I've been trying to get my sound working and have started making some
progress but discovered that i don't really have any way to test the
sound once I get the udev, devices and modules working so I'm compiling
sound tools and utilities. I started with gnome-volume-manager-1.5.15
and got the following errors during the compile. It looks like it can't
find popt but in fact I do have popt-1.10.4 installed. I didn't get any
hits on my google although i seem to have a nack for googling for the
wrong thing. :-( Besides helo with getting this package compiled I would
like suggestions for a GUI sound mixer, cd player and I need to know
what I need to install to play a wav file when mail comes in and other
events happen. Any help will as always be greatly appreciated.
