I messed up and sent this from the wrong account. Second try.

Hi Guys,
OK, I did what Dan said about removing the /usr/lib64 and running
ldconfig but I still had problems compiling volume manager or whatever
the last package was. I started looking for the packages that linked to
libpopt and found libbonobo was one so I did a make clean to get rid of
anything that may have been hanging around and followed the book again
to build libbonobo. I got the following errors. It almost looks like
libtool is finding a hard wired path to the /usr/lib64/libpopt that I
removed. The question of the day is where would it be getting it from.
Does it keep a cache file around? I can't find any man pages or any sort
of documentation on the system. I went back to the CLFS book where I
built the libtool from and can't find anything there. I started looking
through libtool itself and couldn't find what I was looking for. Does
anyone have an in depth knowledge of what libtool is doing? As always
thanks in advance for any nuggets you can throw my way.

Arnie
