Hi Alberto,
With all the help I have needed I'm probably the last one that should
be answering this question but that has never stopped me from putting my
foot in my mouth before. :-) I built hal and dbus for my new system but
not pam. The book I used included a frame where the told you to create
the halusers group in the hal installation instructions. I would suggest
you revisit the chapter on hal and make sure you did the whole thing. I
know first hand that it is easy to blow past something important.
