I would like to appologize for the inappropriate use of the word "policy" in
my iniital inquiry for assistance. I also share the antipathy incurred when
logging on to sites that employ flash_player to the extent of being obnoxious.
That said I would like to share my experience at installing the software.
1. Down-loaded install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz
2. Untarred install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz in the "SOUCRE" directory and
cd`d into the resulting directory.
3. Copied "libflashplayer.so" and "flashplayer.xpt" to the browser plugins
directory which in my case is "/opt/kde-3.5.2/lib/kde3/plugins".
4. In Konqueror used the tool "Configure Konqueror" and selected "Plugins"
5. Made sure the plugins directory was listed in the window and pressed "Scan
for new plugins" button.
6. Restarted Konqueror.
So far "flash_player" entity has performed successfully.
Thanks for your patience,
Jim McConville
