A usb device? hmmm.

A quick google found libmtp (linux "Creative Zen Microphoto").

libmtp has some support for mtp devices. Looking at the source...

  { "Creative Zen MicroPhoto", 0x041e, 0x413c, DEVICE_FLAG_NONE },

should be supported.

Of course you need usb enabled in the kernel.
