hi,
i tried recompiling gcc as mentioned in the blfs book 6.2 .gcc was
previously installed as per the lfs book 6.2.
it compiled properly (i did not install GNAT because i did not want ada)(i
did not configure for f95 and ada compilers in the --enable-languages
option).

but when i ran make -k check ,i found most of the tests were failing.i got
scared and did'nt run make install.by the time i interrupted make -k check
,the results were something like

expected successes:25
unexpected failures : 3586
.......
......

why did this happen?
id gcj relly needed if you install JDK and dont want to compile java to
machine code?
