Well, I upgraded udev like Dan suggested, and got the stick working (firmware loads and the led lights up) but it is discovered as /dev/dvb0.demux0 and so.. All programs expect them to be like /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0.
I tried the solution in kernel docs/dvb/udev.txt but it didn't work, they still got placed in /dev. Now I made custom rules for them all, they obviously work: KERNEL=="*0.demux0", GROUP="video", MODE "0664", NAME="dvb/adapter0/demux0" and so on... Does the mode need to be 0666 for regular users to watch tv? But if I get another one, I'd have to make all rules for it too. Is there a smarter solution? (Like the one in kernel docs, but that works) Lauri -- _______________________________________________ Surf the Web in a faster, safer and easier way: Download Opera 9 at http://www.opera.com Powered by Outblaze -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
