Hi OK, it looks like that enchant and iso-codes are dependencies unless the --disable-spell switch is used.

How can I resolve this? > Hi Gena, I've only just completed a basic xorg plus fluxbox on this box, so I can't test spell checking in gedit. I can't remember when I last used gedit, but my build script notes that I had to move enchant ( 1.2.6 works for me ) ahead of gedit for 2.18.
