Probably not what your looking for but every few months I rebuild LFS
from scratch (duh) using custom bash scripts that install everything,
even compile the kernel and restore my personal home dir with one
command.
That way I never have to bother uninstalling anything. I just remove
it from the installation list for the next rebuild. All these scripts
are on my personal SVN server so updating and reverting is very easy.
The only disadvantage is this takes a long time. But you can continue
working on your computer while LFS is being compiled.
