The first time I tried a Realtek chipset based card, I was sold on them. They are well supported by Linux (and the other OSes for that matter), they perform well, are easy on the CPU, seem to be reliable, and are dirt cheap. I was initially very skeptical of them because of their low price, but now I use nothing else. The worst experience I've had was with an SMC product (I don't know the model or chipset) in the mid 90's - Windows would not recognize it until I changed drivers several times, awful customer/tech support, etc. Mike Shell -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
