Newer glib should work fine with everything - I've been running the 2.14
series since it was released. You shouldn't need to upgrade anything
else (like Gtk+) to go with it.

That said, keep in mind that by playing with PolicyKit, you're playing
with the bleeding edge stuff. And that's good and fine, but it's hard to
get support for that kind of thing while it's still immature. Like I
said before, any questions that aren't LFS-specific are probably best
taken to the developers - they're good guys, very helpful when I was
trying to get HAL working when it was still in that same state.
