I wouldn't mind working on one of those options myself. It would be a learning
experience and fun too. :-)
On the other hand, it would be foolish to make any kind of commitment
considering my lack of experience, just something to play around with in my
free time.
Yes, it would be perfect for bootstrapping. Everyone here agrees that extra
packages have to be installed after finishing LFS before starting BLFS. Why not
use a minimilist format (not version of course! Not one word changed!) of BLFS
for this purpose then throw it out and switch to HTML or PDF after adding what
you need.
