Hi. I have a problem with the keyboard configuration of my brand new (B)LFS :
(WW) Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap. Then I have no shift key, no Ctrl-Alt-Fn to switch back to a console (forced to kill X, or switch with kdm)... I googled a little, found some similar messages in Debian lists, saying that an upgrade did change the files positions from /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb to /usr/share/X11/xkb (or the symlinked /etc/X11/xkb), and that I had to setup XKBPATH variable, but that didn't do the trick, either on kdm or on personnal startx. So X starts OK, but no valid keyboard, and very annoying to use. Did I do something wrong ? \bye -- Nicolas FRANCOIS | /\ http://nicolas.francois.free.fr | |__| X--/\\ We are the Micro$oft. _\_V Resistance is futile.
