Maybe it's me, but I experienced a few problems with the BLFS ntp.conf
file :

And sometimes (not allways) ntpd does not start, or stops without clear reason.

I changed the file a bit (consulting the http://www.pool.ntp.org/ link 
mentionned
in the book) :

server 2.fr.pool.ntp.org
server 3.fr.pool.ntp.org

# Europe
server europe.pool.ntp.org

driftfile /var/cache/ntp.drift
pidfile   /var/run/ntpd.pid

Now it seems to work for me, but of course it's not good enough for everyone.

Did I miss something ?
