False alarm; I couldn't find any extra parameters that were relevant to me.

Should I stop worrying about ifconfig working? I don't really need
ifconfig that much, but my experience with LFS so far is that
something subtly broken in one step can screw things up pretty bad ten
steps later :-P and getting wireless working tends to be complicated
enough by itself.
