Well, that was a stupid mistake. I double-checked that
everything containing the phrase "kde" was deleted from
my /usr directory to ensure that my old KDE3 installation
didn't bother the KDE4 stuff. Unfortunately, "kwin" doesn't
contain "kde".

As a side note, I just bombed my /usr/include directory
trying to fix the thing but hey, at least I know what is
wrong now. And I learned that typing any rm instruction
when way too tired is generally a bad thing to do while
making backups before trying to fix stuff is pretty
awesome. Learned it the hard way, but finally learned it.
