Fixed my LFS script (at some point I'd "temporarily"
changed it to only install the minimal locales if not
doing non-toolchain tests), rebuilt glibc, installed all
the locales (not sure if I actually needed to rebuild it,
certainly didn't reinstall glibc itself.

Normal functionality is now mostly restored, and
in particular I've got "extras" accessible via AltGr
such as double angled quotes «» (z,x) and dead
keys for accents (e.g. a-acute á from AltGr with
semicolon followed by 'a').

So, mostly looking good. I haven't got key repeat
in X on cursor-right or cursor-down, and it seems
that the functionality for cursor down and page
up/down only works at all because I have entries
in my .Xmodmap.

Will take a look at evdev, and will post again
if I find out anything useful.
