I built MySQL without errors. When I issued "make test" I got this output:

the manual to find out how to run mysqld as root!

mysql-test-run: *** ERROR: Could not find version of MySQL
make: *** [test-ns] Error 1
Did I miss something? Is the test considered critical? Any help
resolveing this would be helpful.
