Dude I just finished compiling KDE-3.5.10 two days ago and making some patches to get it to work, it only took me 2 weeks. There are some packages that won't compile on LFS-6.5 that the BLFS-svn book says that they work, but they don't ( and I didn't post about those). I have been working on this desktop system using Beyond Linux® From Scratch - Version svn-20100221 so that makes this about 2 months, so yes I want everyone to hand things to me......... The autofs wiki is blank http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/wiki/autofs so there was a great batch of information there and the wiki page for HAL isn't helpful, yes I know about halusers group in /etc/group I was only looking for a post/howto that I have not found. /rantoff I have looked at google, which says that HAL should take care of it. although I have not found any thing on google that I could try or found to work Some say autofs is needed and others say it isn't. I don't want to add autofs if if is really not needed. Auto mounting and CD/DVD burning doesn't work on this system which is newly compiled LFS-6.5 and BLFS-svn. I don't know if I need additional packages or that I am just missing some kind of configuration for HAL. -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
