Hi,

I built a linux from scratch with KDE-4.4.1 and it is running smootly on my
box Nr.1. Then I restored the image of this system to a box Nr.2, which has
another graphic card etc. I decided to recompile the kernel in box 2 after
booting to console. To my surprise, the building process stops with an error
"kernel/power/snapshot.c:1546: error: expected expression before ';' token".

I never have had make errors compiling kernel's before. Google is not a very
good friend, as there are about 39000 mails dealing with this issue.

Can somebody tell me, what is happening ? The hardware of box 2 is different,
clear, but that should not influence the building of the kernel ? BTW, this
happens with 2.6.23.9, 2.6.33.1 and 2.6.33.2, with or withouth make mrproper.

Thanks in advance,
Edgar
