I don't often rip audio CDs, but when I do I have to use the desktop box that still uses old IDE for it's burner (/dev/hdc). My other box has been set to use libata, and thus /dev/sr0, for ages, but AFAIK cdrdao has never worked on that setup. I'm now at the stage where I'd like to move to libata on both boxes, so this is a sticking point.
Google found a lot of problems with this, particularly on x86_64, but a lack of clear explanation. I did find a kernel regression where this was reported to have *stopped* working during 2.6.31-rc, but that was fixed before 2.6.31. So, I seem to be missing something. Ideas, please ? ĸen -- After tragedy, and farce, "OMG poneys!" -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
