 Umm, google shows that post was two years ago!  And one of
the first matches to that message was from Simon, pointing out it
is a problem with a file installed in in /etc/dbus-1/system.d.

 Myself, I've long since abandoned gdm (in favour of 'startx' - I like
to see my shutdown messages, particularly when I break something),
but I know the development book has more about pointing dbus to
gnome conf files than I remember -
