On my 7500 xf86-video-ati-6.12.7 is working fine (with the 1.7.6 server and Mesa-7.7.1). FWIW, I had had to upgrade Mesa for my 9200se (glxgears locked up), but I don't recall seeing any problem on the 7500. Hmm, actually I did see _something_ funny in the past year or so, but I no longer remember exactly *what* was odd. I've had to change an entry in my xorg.conf from DefaultDepth 16 to DefaultDepth 24 I'd forgotten this, but your title eventually rang a bell. If you are using xorg.conf (I guess you must be), try changing or deleting that line. ĸen -- After tragedy, and farce, "OMG poneys!" -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
